Our summer release is now ready and available in the Hector online asset management platform. You will find below a quick reference video showing the new features as well as a detailed text breakdown by module.
Inventory
Assets
- Choose how an asset’s title is created from the different fields of a part in the settings section for assets.
- It is now possible to print the following information on a barcode :
- Acquisition Date
- Return Date
- Next Maintenance Date
- Life Span Date
Categories
- The code of a category can now be changed after having created a category.
- When activating asset tags, prefixes and suffixes can be set by category.
Stockrooms
- Images can now be added to stockrooms.
- The label of stockroom rackings can now be changed.
- Loaner reminders can now be set to a specified time period instead of the default value of 2 days.
Loaners
- A new global view of all loaners for every stockroom has been added when clicking the Loaners section.
- A new column has been added to the grid for the user’s department. It can be added from the Settings > Loaners section.
- Administrators can now change individual field permissions when modifying a loaner.
- Individual lines can now be approved or refused instead of the whole reservation.
Settings
Integrations
- Added integration for Microsoft InTunes for device to asset synchronization
- Added integration for Zendesk for ticket to work order synchronization
- Added integration for GRICS Achats software for part to part synchronization
Resources
- Grid columns can now be modified for users, places, vendors, customers and contacts.
- The user note field can now be added to the user view screen in order to quickly add notes for users without having to navigate in the edit screen.
Mobile
Login
- The login page has been revamped to make it easier to connect to the application.
- Single-sign on authentication through Google has been added.
Physical and Cycle Counts
- Counts can now be performed directly through the mobile application using scanning or the input controls.
