Physical and cycle counts, group assets together for loaners, add attributes to barcodes, integrations with JAMF, Google Workspace, SCCM/MECM and much more!
Assets
- Physical counts are now available in Hector for customers with an Armor package.
- A physical count is used to count the entire inventory at a specific location to evaluate the discrepancies between real life and Hector.
- In addition to the physical counts, cycle counts are available for customers with the Castle package.
- A cycle count is very useful for counting important items on a regular basis. These items are often very important to your organization.
- You can count by stockroom, by place, by user, by customer, by vendor or by contact.
- Barcodes or QR codes can be printed in bulk by selecting multiple assets.

Parts
- When changing a part’s category, its image and documents will now change with it.
- Default lot sizes can now be set for parts. When creating an asset, the lot size will be used by default.
Stockrooms
- Stockrooms can now be renamed.
Barcodes
- Attributes can now be added to barcodes to include more information on the label.
Loaners
- Parts can now be grouped together in the item catalog.
- Rules can be setup for attributes to specify whether they are a grouped or ungrouped attribute.
- Allow assets to be assigned when reservation is created, or when reservation is loaned out.
- Prevent assets from being reserved if they are assigned to a specified racking in the stockroom.
- Added a timer that warns personnel if new reservations have been created since their last page refresh.
- A loaner recurrence can now be modified.
- Added recurrence information to tooltip in loaner list.
- Added option to show loaners only on start and finish dates in daily, weekly and monthly calendars.
- Added ability to modify margins for the loaner print out sheet.
- When printing a loaner sheet, added an option to show or hide attributes and components.
Integrations
- Azure user photos can now be synchronized to Hector.
- Added integration to JAMF for mobile devices.
- Added integration to Google Workspace for Chromebooks.
- Added integration to MECM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager) or formerly known as SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager).
Notifications
- Assets
- Email notifications can be setup when assets are created, modified, moved or deleted.
- Email notifications can also be configured for maintenance, return and lifespan dates.
- Parts
- Email notifications can be configured for parts below their minimum stock for a specified timeframe.
- Places
- Email notifications can be setup when places are created, modified, or deleted.
Permissions
- Filter access to users/places and their assets by role, user, department or group.
- Filter access to customers/vendors/contacts and their assets by role, user, department or group (must have castle package).
Security
Local Accounts
- An account lockout threshold can be set and reset can now be configured.
- Sessions can be automatically disconnected after a set amount of time.
- A password history can be enforced before a password can be used again.
